Pongamia is a versatile species and a good source of bio-diesel with oil content of 38 to 40 % which grows on average soil. The seeds of Pongamia contain the oil which can be easily converted into bio-diesel which can be mixed with diesel in the order of 15 to 20 % and forms a perfect blend. Pongamia has also got medicinal properties.

Castor oil is a product extracted from beans of Castor which is a vegetable oil. It is colorless and some time to very pale yellow liquid with mild or no odor or taste.
